It’s been two whole weeks since the official launch of Korean Vegan Beauty and man-oh-man, what a whirlwind it’s been! We’ve already sold hundreds of products, built a 1,600 members strong community, and heard from so so many of you!!

We’ve also fielded several very good questions, all of which have been answered directly by our KV Beauty Support Team. But the questions were so good, I thought it would be helpful to share a few of them in this week’s KVBeauty Ritual.

Why is international shipping so expensive?
I know, international shipping to certain parts of the world is EXPENSIVE.
We originally made our products available only in the United States because, as a small and brand new business dealing with the unpredictability of tariffs and attendant shipping rates, we knew we would be at the TOTAL mercy of our carriers. But after hearing from so many of you all over the world, we made the decision to ship worldwide, despite knowing that shipping costs might be expensive depending on where you live. I wish more than anything that we could change these shipping rates, but we simply aren’t in a position to do that yet.
To those of you who still went ahead and placed your order from Canada, Belgium, Germany, England, Australia, and beyond, paying more just to support us, I’m honestly overwhelmed with gratitude. You made sacrifices, and I don’t take that lightly.
For those who want to order, but can’t swing the shipping alone, here’s an idea: gather your friends, family, or neighbors and place one order together. The shipping cost is often the same whether you’re ordering one product or several and this way, you can share the cost and the joy. 💗
Is the Vegan Collagen Shampoo safe for color-treated hair?
Yes! Our Vegan Collagen Shampoo is color-safe. It’s formulated without harsh sulfates and uses gentle cleansing agents that cleanse effectively without stripping your hair’s color. It also contains moisturizing and conditioning ingredients like collagen extract, olive oil esters, and plant-based nutrients to help maintain vibrancy and protect color-treated hair with every wash.
Are KV Beauty products good for sensitive skin?
Absolutely. Our vegan skincare products are formulated to be gentle, yet effective. We avoid common irritants and use ingredients that are known to be kind to sensitive skin, such as vegan collagen (which mimics human protein structure) and bakuchiol (a plant-based retinol alternative that is less likely to cause irritation). Obviously, we cannot guarantee that our products will have zero effect on all skin types, but our cream was designed with sensitive skin in mind.
Does your Smoothing Shampoo work for grey-hair?
While our Korean Vegan Collagen Shampoo isn’t a color-changing product, it’s packed with ingredients that support overall scalp health and hair vitality — which is especially important for grey hair.
The caffeine, vegan collagen, and traditional Korean herbs like ginseng and mulberry bark work together to nourish your scalp, energize your roots, and strengthen your strands. You’ll feel your hair becoming softer, stronger, and more vibrant with continued use.
So while it won’t reverse grey, it’s absolutely made to help your hair look and feel its healthiest at any stage.

How long have you personally been using KVBeauty products?
I have been using both the cream and the shampoo since I got them in my hot little hands in June 2025! I was so excited to finally receive samples from our R&D team in Korea and let me tell ya--with tariffs and everything that's been going on, it was NOT easy getting them here! But I've been using them since and you can TELL the difference. My hair is shinier than EVER and my skin is SO SOFT!!
What ingredients were an absolute MUST HAVE for you?
Two ingredients: vegan collagen and bakuchiol. First, vegan collagen because the whole point of Korean Vegan Beauty is that being vegan should NOT prevent you from having the BEST that K-beauty has to offer. KVBeauty's proprietary and patented vegan collagen works because it mimics the collagen our bodies naturally produce. Second, bakuchiol. Why? Because it is THE INGREDIENT in K-beauty technology, one that is taking over the beauty industry. With so many of the benefits of retinol without the harsh side effects, again, it was imperative to me that our entirely vegan, cruelty free products take advantage of this extraordinary ingredient!
